    THE CAPITAL CITY CLASSIC 10k PACKET PICKUP - MARCH 28, 2025

    The Capital City Classic 10K has a rich history as Arkansas' oldest 10K race. It takes place in downtown Little Rock, offering participants a scenic route through the city. The 2025 race is scheduled for March 29, with the main race starting at 8:00 AM and a free Kids' 1-Mile Race at 7:30 AM.

    Registration is open to runners and walkers of all abilities.The Kids' Race is free for participants aged 1-14. All participants will receive finisher medals, and there are pace teams available to help runners achieve their goals.

    The event also features a prize purse of $6,000, awarded to the top five male and female finishers. For elite runners, complimentary entries and potential travel assistance are available for those meeting specific time qualifications

    REGISTRATION:

    For registration, you can sign up for the Capital City Classic 10K through RUNSIGNUP The kids 1K race, sponsored by ROCK CITY RUNNING, is free for participants aged 1-14. If you're an elite runner you may qualify for complimentary entry and potential travel assistance by meeting specific time qualifications (sub-33:00 for men and sub-38:00 for women).     RACE HISTORY:

    As for the race's history, the Capital City Classic 10K is Arkansas' oldest 10K race, first held in 1980. Over the years, it has attracted elite runners, including Olympians and national record holders. The event moved back to downtown Little Rock in 2022, offering a scenic route through the city. While the 2023 race was canceled due to a tornado, the event made a strong comeback in 2024, with nearly 1,100 participants. The race continues to grow, celebrating its 45th edition in 2025.
